A rennovation and replacement extension to an existing Grade B Listed Townhouse. The original house has been comprehensively refurbished, restoring original finishes and exceeding current energy standards. The new rear extension is conceived as a black 'shadow'; cast from the original 'ink bottle' roof. The contrast of black zinc and white lime render; contemporary with traditional, makes 'old ' and 'new' legible.
